See All‘Not Everybody Has 88 Hours to Play Red Dead Redemption 2’ Shawn Layden Discusses Game Development Cycles and What Players Need
Yeah, so you just want to make shorter games with smaller budgets, but still keep the $60-$70 price tag. Sounds to me like you just want higher profit margins and couldn't care less about the player experience. If a game is good, I don't ever want it to end, honestly. Plus, no one just sits down and puts 88 hours straight into a game. You play for a couple of hours, put it down, and then play for a couple of hours the next time. So, no matter how long the game is, I'll always play it the same way, it'll just be over with in a couple of days instead of a couple of weeks/months. So I get less enjoyment for the same price tag.
