It's true it's just most new gamers weren't introduced to the franchise until D3 and they simply moved to D4 which is better and after multiple D4 seasons they want to try D2 as fans of the franchise

Completely disagree D3 graphics still hold up fine, D2 couldn't even be displayed correctly on new monitors before the remaster. D4 took what D3 started and made it better and D2 is infinitely a better game. Fans that played 3 and 4 are trying 2 and loving it if anything we deserve Diablo1 remake. 3 can wait another 5-10 years
