See AllHollow Knight: Silksong's Development Timeline May Place its Post-Launch Support on a Powder Keg
Yes, I will be getting Silksong upon release. One of the things I liked about Hollow Knight was it's Game Density and allowing me to pause the game, save the game, and return later without forgetting where I left off. Hollow Knight follows a non-linear game concept that allows the player to make decisions on which direction the player wants to go.
Silksong requires that type of development effort so that the game doesn't feel quick, easy, and the player feels challenged.
My theory is that Team Cherry and all of their NDA signed play testers have to test Silksong so that there are no caveats within the game upon release. Knowing that there are 100% completionists that don't want to fall short due to a programming glitch or not fulfilling their promises based off their previous success.
