Strong disagreement with "The Long Night" being the best season 8 episode. Maybe the most spectacular, but no where close to the best. No, the best season 8 episode is episode 2 "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms." Sure, the article dismissed it as "nothing happened in the episode," it's better to say that nothing happened that a later episode didn't contradict, but that isn't this episode's fault.

S08e2 is the only episode from the 7th or 8th seasons that feels like "classic game of thrones." The only episode where the characters are well written and feel like their old selves again. I would absolutely put this in the series top 10 -- the episode from the final two seasons I would do that with.
