Rise's gimmick was the wire bug. Every monster hunter game has a gimmick mechanic. 3u had swimming, 4u was the introduction to Arial moves, generations had different styles, world had the clutch claw which changed with the introduction of iceborne, rise had wire bugs and a terrible monster mounting system. Wilds brought us back to the clutch claw and mounting in the better way without the added functionality of the clutch claw added in iceborne.
