See AllMajor Companies Back New Bill to Kill Anime Piracy Sites in the US
This would have been a good move if the companies backing this bill were to actually provide the content that we pay them for. Whole seasons and episodes and OVAs are either missing or removed or are spread across multiple platforms, making it annoying to try and watch anything these days. And must I even mention the ever growing prices for subscriptions like Crunchyroll? They’re always so eager to take our money but all I see is content and features being removed. Meanwhile pirated sites have all the same features (free), they’re moderated, and all the episodes you want all in one place. Piracy is a “problem” that grows from awful customer service, but the big companies have gotten so outrageous with their shenanigans that for many people pirated content is the panacea.
