Historically and I'm speaking of the other greats like Goku, and Naruto, etc continuing their adventures in my opinion was perfectly timed with their separate newer show after the climax of whatever villain or objective they had overcome. Please don't get me wrong I love the longevity of One piece but I eagerly await the completion seeing Luffy and the straw hats do what none of the other crews could not and that's because of their motives and code never flinching. After that I'd be excited to see where the future took the world of One Piece so no time skip just give them a new show or manga after they wrap this up

I mean if they're already trying to do a reboot on a manga this epic they should at least finish what they started
