See AllNew Far Cry Multiplayer Game Details Leaked
I miss the days when game studios actually released games at a steady pace instead of making us wait half a decade (or more) for sequels. There was a time when franchises like Need for Speed, Call of Duty, and Assassin’s Creed dropped new entries like clockwork—no massive delays, no endless hype cycles. Now, we’re stuck in this era of “it’ll be ready when it’s ready,” where publishers drip-feed teasers for years and still end up delaying things anyway.
Sure, I get that games are bigger and more complex now, but were the classics really any worse off for being made faster? Studios used to refine, and push out games without needing an entire console generation between releases. And the thing is, those older games still hold up! Maybe publishers need to rethink priorities—because at this rate, we’ll be lucky to see more than one or two games from our favorite series before we’re onto the next generation of hardware.
