See All30 Years Later, One Of Gaming's Edgiest Anti-Heroes Still Hasn't Managed To Make Himself Cool Again
I absolutely think he should make a comeback. But the toxic gaming community won't allow it because it's plagued with entitled crybabies and neckbeards who always have their expectations cranked to a thousand (for whatever reason). Gamers forgot the number one rule of gaming - to have FUN. And now it's just bandwagon hate and YouTube review parroting. It's pathetic. Take the most recent Duke Nukem for example. If people just enjoyed the game for what it was, a shooter that's satirical and doesn't take itself seriously, there's a TON of fun to be had. But if you're waiting for the next big revolutionary AAA title that blows the competition out of the water and does something that no other game ever has done before, then OBVIOUSLY you're going to be disappointed. This is the unfortunate fate of Duke Nukem. It's just become popular to hate him, kinda like Nickelback. And the toxicity of the gaming "community" is only going to get worse from here on out.
