I am a bit late to the discussion here but I have a few small things for my wish list.

Car towing. Have the same routine when hooking up a car for towing as searching, the more you rush, the more likely you will make extra noise.

Mounted weapons replace passenger seating in vehicles, but a passenger can use the weapon.

Backpack designs and community badges for clothing. Using a system similar to Forza, allow creative people to reskin their backpacks and design community logos to be used on clothes, backpacks, cars, buildings etc.

Communities with garages get performance / terrain customization options on cars.

Zombie pits / trenches can be dug around the communities. Helpful in a siege and a deterrent against other enemies.

Mud / Marsh, slows you and vehicles down but also a good way to lose the zeds, a Jug ending up hip-deep and barely able to move in mud sounds perfect to me!

Spotters on the radio, Similar to the fitness app Zombies, Run - have spotters on a perch calling out dangers ahead (could be part of the base's own radio tower).
