Lovecraft is hard to capture outside of his actual writing. I like the discussion about the approach they will take. But is that enough? Will it work? Will it ALMOST get it right but fall short because almost wasn’t good enough? Here’s hoping they can catch lightning in the bottle.
At the same time think back to the various films that have tried but for whatever reason just not clicked. The intangibles are hard to present in a believable manner that will also generate dread.
