Is Ninja Gaiden 2 Black More Like Sigma 2 or OG?
Simply outstanding. Really easy to follow and immediately understand too, plus a solid follow up from previous articles related to discussions about Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
Difficulty Options Explained β Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
Honestly, that's fair all round. Some things to consider though.
1) Hero Mode isn't unique to Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, as it first debuted in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, the game Black used as the base for it's remake.
2) The enemies you encounter on each given difficulty is quite different, with the variations apparent in some difficulties especially. For example on Acolyte/ Normal, standard enemy ninjas primarily attack you from up close. On Mentor / Hard, they're replaced with ninjas armed with assault rifles and liking, capable of attacking you proficiently from short and longe range. Mages are replaced primarily with Red Black Spider Ninjas with Incendiary Shurikens for example, who are both more tanky and deal significantly more damage. Boss fights are also significantly more difficult, as they essentially utilize more of their arsenal while also countering given moves from you the player more effectively with higher damage to boot.
Nonetheless, pretty good article all round. I imagine it would especially be quite helpful to any newcomers to the series starting with Ninja Gaiden 2 Black as their first game.
