Yet, even those had puzzles to a degree. Sure, it wasn't HEAVY on those like Ocarina of Time or similar older entries, but even with their freedom, BotW and TotK wasn't lacking in those either... Not really a full on "destroy everything" sort of game as Gears was.
I feel a high bar was set with those two that made all others in the franchise seem... Child's play in comparison... At least, such is the vibe I get from his criticism.

I mean, I'm not saying CliffyB is wrong, as I hold BotW and TotK in high regard (with a soft spot for Wind Waker), but kind of unfair to frame EoW as a lesser title as, based on its art style... Not really a game I would take AS seriously, IMO. It comes off as a more "use your head" title than "hack and slash away" types... And I think for that EoW serves as a brain worker. Plus... When was a LoZ game, outside of the Musou/Warriors-style titles, ever not without puzzles?
