Funko has been in "dire straits" for years. And if you're collecting them anticipating value, have you learned NOTHING about every single time the wider population gets it in their heads that toys or comics can be an investment? It happens A LOT. It's going to happen with those Labubu things.

I got my first job in a comic shop in the immediate aftermath of the speculator crash of the 90s. The reason they hired me was they knew nothing about comics (their hobby was gaming and they already had another store elsewhere. And the owner was an idiot with a massive gambling problem). I must have pulled six long boxes of nothing but Superman #75 and Spawn #1 off the floor and stuck them in the back. Less than worthless.
