Physically speaking, no. Thanos might not be the strongest villain. However, factor in his intelligence, relentlessness, cunning, unwavering single mindedness & total lack of mercy he remains one the most dangerous villains in the Marvel Universe, even without the gauntlet.

So what Villeneuve really means is that the studio threw a boatload of money his way to get him to make the movie sooner rather than later. Can't say I blame the guy.

Not really excited about a third film. I'm afraid to see how badly Villeneuve's "vision" is going to mangle yet another Herbert classic

Hey, Glenn, you are correct. During that storyline they did establish Logan having bone claws. However, this was not the case waaay back in 1976. If I remember correctly it was in Uncanny X-Men #98 where Logan explains about the claw implants.

Sorry, Villeneuve's Dune movies left me totally cold. The first showed promise but the sequel was just ponderous. Beautiful like a painting but just as lifeless. Luckily, I have the original Lynch version. For those who prefer the latter, enjoy.

Before I begin I just want to say that the white-haired top-knotted red-armored abomination running around Marvel Comics today is NOT, NOR WILL EVER BE, the true Marvel Dracula. Wolfman, Colan & Palmer crafted a true masterpiece with the original series that will never be outdone by some half-baked long-haired pasty-faced Albino goon running around with a sword. Francis Ford Coppola called and says he wants his armor back!!!

Whew... Now that THAT is out of the way I just wanted to add a couple of epic storylines that deserve a mention:

Though the entire run is one of the most solid and entertaining series Marvel ever put out, Tomb of Dracula issues #59 - 70 are pure gold. SPOILERS: Beginning with the death of Dracula's infant son, the Lord of Vampires soon faces tragedy again as his boy, now resurrected as an avenging angel, becomes his mortal enemy. Dracula soon confronts Satan himself who takes away his vampiric powers, changing him back to a human and at the mercy of his enemies, alive and undead. Dracula eventually becomes a vampire again but must fight to regain his rightful place as Lord of Vampires. The whole thing is capped by his final confrontation with his arch-nemesis, the Vampire hunter Quincy Harker. Seriously, it doesn't get better than this. There is even an anime feature film based on this very storyline. Epic. Truly Epic

The Tomb of Dracula #44/Doctor Strange #14 crossover might have been the first time the Sorcerer Supreme and the Lord of Vampires fought, but it certainly wasn't the last. Doctor Strange #58 - 62 had them face off again in a race to secure the Darkhold. A mission so fraught with dire consequences that Dr. Strange must acquire the help of a number of other heroes. Dracula himself even leads an undead assault on Avengers Mansion!!! The whole thing culminates in the complete destruction of all vampires. Another true gem of a storyline.

Ummm... Doctor Strange #14 actually came out May 10th, 1976 not '79. The Tomb of Dracula series ended in '79 with issue #70. The Langella Dracula had no impact on the Strange/Dracula crossover whatsoever as it wasn't until the Tomb of Dracula MAGAZINE series that followed the original comic series that coincided with the theatrical releases of Dracula & Nosferatu the Vampyre.

Equally love both Odyssey' s Kassandra & Valhalla's Eivor (female). The only constant letdown for me has always been the animus/Abstergo stuff. It always just brings the games to a grinding halt for me. Not only is the Eden plot convoluted and dull but the gameplay itself suffers as you switch from a quick and agile assassin to a nerdy dweeb who lumbers about a sterile environment like a kid with rickets. Just keep everything in the past and it's gold. 🥇

Love it or hate it the Batman '66 outfit was pretty darn comics accurate for it's time.

As to the sonar/ice suits they also served one extremely important purpose... TO SELL TOYS!!! 🤑

BTW: You forgot to include the 1940's Saturday morning serials in your list, which would have brought it to 18. Here's a quick fix to help you along a little:

18) Batman & Robin (1949) Robert Lowery wears a bat suit that is even more shoddily put together than the one in the previous series. The bat ears are floppy as heck and his bat symbol, aside from looking hastily stitched on, lies not so much on the chest as the midriff. Just plain bad.

17) Batman (1943) Lewis Wilson wears a low budget outfit with floppy ears. The belt ain't bad. Surprisingly comics accurate (on the cheap side) for it's day.

Heroes. Villains. It doesn't matter. Once Marvel broke Stan Lee's cardinal "set in stone" rule for the one hero Marvel would never bring back to life and resurrected Bucky Barnes everything is up for grabs. DC did it themselves with the Jason Todd Robin who's demise came from the results of a fan phone in contest. That one still stings since I shelled out almost ten bucks at the time to gack that annoying li'l bastich!!! Hey, maybe this has the makings of a class action suit?🤔

That is going to have to be one fantastically monumental feat of editing to turn this turkey into a peacock. Especially with the condescending attitude Pyun had with the source material at the time. I remember reading an interview in one of the trade mags, Comics Scene I think, where he said his movie would focus more on Steve Rogers because nobody is going to pay ($x.xx?) Dollars to watch a guy running around in a red, white & blue costume for two hours. I am curious, but remain dubious, to this new cut being that much of an improvement.
