The author of this article has missed one thing from the beginning to the end. This season is called Boruto for a reason, because Boruto IS THE MAIN CHARACTER. I doubt there's any stepping up for Naruto to take the lead. His assumption though extrapolated correctly is wrong for just this reason. Naruto cannot be the main character in a season called BORUTO. Watching the show you see everything done to make Boruto stronger and the father weaker, because of only one reason... Boruto should be seen as the main character. Not Sasuke, not Himawari not even any person who seals up a Hokage. It's like watching someone being dressed for the beach and you assume he is going to the cinema.
