Honestly I think they could continue with the prequel style story. Ending RDR3 in the blizzard where RDR2 picks up. You could even play as one of the characters that met their demise, leaving you to pick up as Arthur. Instead of endless summer you could have an endless winter revolving around the events that take place in that first camp. I mean who doesn't want to see what happened in Blackwater.
