Devil May Cry 6 Shouldn't Take Its Next Generation for Granted
Just introduce another mysterious young man with heightened abilities but have his personality more Virgil than Dante, not as overly serious but with a eerily sarcastic tone. Make him a teleporter, a speedster, or my personal favorite idea of him being a time-manipulater. Either way, he MUST be the son of Dante, who knows nothing of his existence. Have Virgil be integral in the backstory as the reason we never heard of him. Let his story be a revenge motivated journey to find and kill Dante & Virgil with his mother being the blacksmith of Ebony & ivory, connecting to Nico. They gameplay should go as it has always, though with mild tweaks throughout, and we should switch control here and there from Nero to Dante JR or have the choice each chapter of whom we want to control and narrative wise give us their perspective while doing so. For replay value, you can go back and pick the Demon you didn't use the first go around in order to get the other half of the story. The brothers should only be available for game play in the very last chapter but like before you only can choose one path at a time. The finale, Virgil & Dante will sacrifice their existence once and for all with an epic definitive final thumbs up, wink, and a smile to the fans. It should be so heartbreakingly satisfying of a send-off, that we pause the screen for a moment or 2. But Nero and Dante Jr's journey in the story should be gratifying enough that, though we may just have watched the funeral of the Legends, so to speak, we anticipate the next game like the 2nd coming.
