See AllTerrifier 3 Director Reveals The Line He Will Not Cross On The Big Screen
I definitely understand why some people enjoy Terrifier, though it’s personally not my thing. I do give it credit for aiding in evolving the horror genre as a whole, and I do think that its existence has sparked a good conversation amidst horror fans about “gore porn” and where and when the line should be drawn between tasteful gore and blatant shock value. I’ve seen both arguments about this movie, and this franchise in general, some argue it’s plotless and tasteless gore-porn while others argue it’s tastefully done. I think it’s an interesting conversation, as the SAW franchise had (and still has) similar conversations around it. I could never get into Terrifier personally, but I do think that even those who couldn’t get into it as a franchise can and should acknowledge that it’s sparked a lot of interesting discussions within the Horror Film/Franchise community.
