See AllA Resident Evil 5 Remake Can't Leave One Encounter By The Wayside
As i said a bit ago in a post about gigante, Africa is a very diverse environment with a wide range of cultures and a huge variety of wildlife. It would be great to see the RE5 remake take better advantage of this than the original did. As much as we all enjoyed the original, as fun as it was, the plagas/zombies had too much of a normal human and dog or spider ratio, as usual. Sure, there were a couple hyenas here or there, and a couple crocodiles. Not all that impressive given the setting, honestly. I would like to see mutated or plagas/zombie wildlife such as.....
Water buffalo, wildabeast, gazelle, zebra, snakes, anteater, tortoise, ostrich, dung beetle, wild dogs, hippo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, vulture, warthog, small monkies or baboons, giant snails and clams. Especially in the jeep chase seen, although every scene has animals in tharlt setting that can be tailor made for those scenes.
A Resident Evil 5 Remake Can't Leave One Encounter By The Wayside
El gigante is a creature already used in RE4 remake which was released not too long ago. It should not even be used again in RE5 remake, especially considering that it takes place on another continent. Africa has much more diverse wildlife to choose from. Any large animal could be mutated to play the role for gigante. It could be the all too common overgrown tentacle spouting 3 headed eyeball growing lion, or the 8 legged rhino that became confused and grew extra horns everywhere like its now a zombie porcupine...... Or it doesnt have to be a cliche expected animal either.... It could be something silly too.... Like a giant pot bellied giraffe thats so bloated it has to drag its self like a walrus while its over long stretched neck tries to pool noodle combat thwack your butt across the arena....... Or it could be a wierd goofy twitchy hyper ostrich with plagas worms out of every oriface trying to grab you while the ostrich is twitching, screeching, pecking, stumbling, wing flapping, head bobbing, being goofy, tripping and falling, not really much threat as you just try to not let it get too close cuz the real threat is the grabby worms..... Sooooo... Yeah... Take more advantage of the uniqueness of the game setting.
