In truth as someone who owns the game on ps5 it's because the island's currency is VC to level up or buy items or increase your charicters training you have to spend VC and if u owned any version of wwe 2k with myfaction on you would know VC costs real money they don't give it away and certainly not in the large amounts it takes to increase your charicters say strength for example the cost of levelling that up last night was 6500 vc that's equivalent to £1.75 they aren't worried about it bieng hacked for your sake because you might see a hacker they are worried someone will break their cash grab and they will have to offer refunds or try to balance out the game more fairly.
