See AllStarship Troopers: Extermination Has One Clear Advantage Over Helldivers 2
Calling the single player mode a “campaign” is….. Certainly generous… Seriously… try it for yourself. It’s almost comical (clearly not in an intentional way). As for 16 player co-op, I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t see that as a strike AGAINST ST:E, as compared to HD2. Communication is clearly an important aspect in these kinds of games. Game chat with a squad of 4? Great, no problem. 16, however? Dear god, no thank you. I honestly don’t even remember if there IS in-game chat or not, as I’d never entertain the idea of taking part in it with that many voices running rampant through my ear holes… which brings me to the ONE thing ST:E has that HD2 does not… the ability to play it on Xbox. That has literally been the only reason I’ve ever played it, as many of my friends are not PC gamers and only play on Xbox. I hop in an XBL party with them to play ST:E occasionally, and while voice chat with them is all good and grand, we’re constantly wondering what our fellow “troopers” are thinking with some of the ridiculous things they do… of course, we’re not wondering hard enough to want to put us through the misery of joining a 16 player chat (if it’s even available, which, again, I’ve never even bothered to find out).
