I think people are really sleeping on him. I think he is many ways better than castorice. I was actually going to skip out on castorice until I learned of her global passive and cool dragon/drake thing. But in terms of practicality Anaxa far outshines Castorice or even compliments her. The content that I struggle with most is the pure fiction and other game modes that require 2 teams and often require specific characters. Anaxa is going to bypass that by inflicting weaknesses, reducing enemy turns, increasing team dps, while being a great dps unit himself.

This patch is amazing because there's so much content that equalizes the playing field. Loucha is easily one of the best healers and has a good runway if you get his eidolons because he can shield as well. Ruan mei is great for breaks and also Anaxa. I think Himeko is going to pair nicely with Anaxa (although I am reluctant to give up that critical dmg boost) and there is tons of free draws and stellar jades for everyone to get at least 1 good 5 star character, plus the free ones. And of course if you spend money you get even more good stuff...
