I think the plot of rebellion is not just clever and amazing, it's also beautiful no matter how many times i've gone back to it. The way the film plays into the scheme of things makes it unpredictable and mind blowing as it goes. Though the ending might seem bizarre, it might have been the universe trying to honor homura's wish to become strong enough to protect Madoka. The more I try to interpret the whole thing, the better it gets.
