Not sure that is totally justified. The original switch sold better than any previous console they had made. How could Nintendo have assumed it would do so well as to be their best-selling console and still ship even more units?

I'm really frustrated I haven't even gotten a good response from Gamestop employees, but I don't think it is fair to suggest it is an intentional strategy when the facts suggest otherwise. Two straight console releases have gone really well; i'm not sure we can be mad they didn't risk billions in losses when they already sold so many units.
