Don't watch the movie please. They have quite literally lost the plot that made the book so amazing. The movie trailer doesn't even mention Simon Stålenhag the books author which is a bad sign. Either he doesn't want his name attached to the project or they forced him out somehow. Its also completely Hollywood-washed the themes in the book, taking an amazing and nuanced story and turning it into a clone of the new marvel movies (which are pretty awful). I'm just sad to see the IP get waisted in such a way... So I would highly recommend to buy Stålenhag's book or at least check out his website that has a lot of the original book art. Thanks for humoring this tirade.
