The narrative that Continuous Steps Eevee is somehow injurious to the meta is laughable to me. 50% of the time it does *absolutely nothing*. 25% of the time it hits once. 12.5% of the time it hits twice, which is already terrible odds. There is a only a 6.25% chance of hitting three times, and it just gets worse from there. So maybe you get lucky and one-shot their gyarados with an eevee on turn 2, but most likely you have to evolve it before it does anything at all. This is the kind of narrative that the author must have seen in the depths of reddit or twitter and said to themselves "the people must know about this insane meta threat" without actually knowing the meta or even playing the game.
