A fusion of both brain and braun (physical prowess), using a plenthora of stealth Tactics and combative strategies...
It and the original Rainbow Six 3 line always came down to asking myself one simple, yet complex question... What would I do in real life? As well as, what do I need and how wilI I accomplish it?
Interestingly enough, I have military friends and family in SF careers. Funny thing, 90% of the time they execute each mission in the same or similar way as I do.
Any first person shooter lets you kill people indiscrimitely with a weapon, but how many simulations/games provide the option to be a ghost, or complete a high-risk mission without any loss of life??? And in real life, it takes 10 times the training and skills to utilize stealth tactics to silence sentries in a non-lethal (or lethal), manner, while often being outgunned, outmanned, and without reinforcements or extensive support assets nearby...
Every iteration has many pros and cons, as well as mission replayability, should you decide to complete a mission using different tactics than applied originally. The addition of co-op missions were nice. As was the addition of decision-based outcomes in high-risk scenarios. As well as the addition of new tech, and the return of some originals. I still prefer the original lux meter hud and schema.
Ps- This is one of the ONLY game series thats good with or without Internet.
I always set mission difficulty to the hardest possible settings.
