There's a meme going around on Facebook that shows a picture of GRRM, Patrick Rothfuss and Brandon Sanderson. It shows GRRM and Rothfuss with huge bushy beards, and Sanderson with a clean shaven face... Something about shaving every time a book is published. It's funny because Rothfuss has become another GRRM....his final book in the Kingkiller Chronicles is about as overdue as WoW lol. Yet another author I won't give support to.

I refuse to give this man any more money or time. The book series is never going to be finished. I've been a fan since 1996 when I first bought the first book. Fourteen years waiting on the sixth book is beyond ridiculous. The way he just keeps stringing fans along is deplorable. He can't figure out why we're so upset.... You'd be upset too if you had to wait so long for the series. He got his desire, a few tv shows, he's done. Book 6 and book 7 are never being released while he's still alive and that's fine. Doesn't mean I have to be interested in anything else he puts out. I don't believe in pirating an author's work, but if ASOIAF were released tomorrow, you can bet your boots I would pirate it rather than put money in GRRM's pockets. I've not watched HotD, and I don't plan on watching the next show, about the hedge knight.

I'm off to read (or watch) works by author's who still respect their fans.
