I look for a simple building mechanic. Throw away Fallout76 and their building. It's terrible. Prefabs are the way to go there.

No Man's Sky has the best building mechanic I've ever come across. Everything is easy to find, easy to place, delete, move, and rotate. I haven't found a better building system yet. You can make futuristic builds which is cool. I prefer rustic as I feel like the sparse wooden buildings fit the exploration theme. Find a cool planet, throw up a wood cabin, decorate it and move on.

I love the scenery in AC: Origins. The pyramids, sprawling deserts and bustling cities. There's so much to take in with that game. It is truly beautiful. The game play is pretty epic too. One of my favorite entries. Valhalla is a close second. Who doesn't love being a Viking and raiding. I had a ton of fun with that one too.

I find myself going back to NMS every so often just to check out what they have done. That game is so much better than it was on launch. It's really streamlined and easy to get going again after a long break.

I also dig Skyrim. The variety in character builds is enough to keep me interested. Heavy armor caster? Yep. Stealth build that can cast fire? Yep. Archer that can summon creatures? Sure. Shoot fire out of one hand and while slicing with a sword in the other? Of course. There's so much to do in that game.

No Man's Sky not on the list? Hands down, the best building system I've ever used.

Whether or not I use prefabs depends on which game I'm playing. NMS, I build my own base because it's really easy to put things together. Everything is nicely organized and easy to find. Below is the exact opposite. Lol

Fallout76, I use the prefabs. It's much easier to find a suitable spot and throw one down instead of fighting the building system. The worst building system I have ever used. Nothing is organized. It takes forever to find anything and it's not fun at all.

Nobody It's a fun game. I have around 800 hours between PC and Xbox. The wonky quest lines are irritating but the game is great otherwise.

Victor The vault raid IS solo. You're talking about something different than I am. I'm referring to the vault raid when you side with either the crater or foundation. That quest is bugged like crazy. Dialogue freezes and you have to restart. Turrets become invincible and you have to restart. Not mention randomly dashboarding (Xbox) and having to restart. I've never gotten through that quest with no less than 3 restarts due to bugs.

You are going to HATE the vault raid. I have done that a couple times on different play throughs and have had to restart it at least 3-5 times to make it through. For added fun, it doesn't save so you have to restart the whole raid. It almost made me uninstall the game I was so mad. I rage quit a few times and didn't play for a week or so.

I loved BL3. The introduction of a pet class character was something I wanted to see happen. I hated the villains in a good way. The loot drops were good and plentiful.

BL4 missed the mark. They overcorrected in a bad way. They made it too hard. I played on easy mode and still got killed in 2 shots by regular enemies. I didn't make it to the first farmable boss before giving up. I was nearly 2k credits in debt from dying all the time. Enemies were bullet sponges for no reason. I never had bosses in BL3 kill me in 2 hits.

If this is the future of Borderlands, I'm out. It was a good run. I'll keep playing 2 and 3.

Purely wandering is definitely NMS. I can jump systems for hours just to see what's out there. It's easy to get sidetracked by the next "shiny object" in your scanner. They have definitely adopted the 45 second rule of gaming and taken it to a whole other level.

Building is top notch. I haven't played a game with an easier build mechanic.

I've been eyeing that one. I love base building and sword/magic type games. I've done a bunch of reading and video watching on it. It looks like it's really fun.

I've been looking for a game that excites me like Dark Age of Camelot did so many years ago. Nothing has really come close thus far.

I don't buy 360.00 worth of games in 4 years. I'm certainly not going to spend 360.00/ year on GamePass. It's not cost effective at this point. I'll just buy a game outright, or wait until it hits the 14.99 tier.

I'm interested in playing with the one button function. I'm a casual player and older so my reflexes are not as quick as they once were. I don't use macros and I'm not savvy on all the add-ons out there so this will hopefully help out.

Give me an automatic weapon with explosive or corrosive dmg and I'm happy.

Side note, I loved BL3. It was my favorite of the ones I've played. I don't get the hate for it.
