It is wierd they said Romance doesn't fit the feel of their game. Their game is living like a hobbit...literally Hobbits are all about massive families...it is weird romance doesn't fit the feel of some of the most family oriented people in middle-earth....
Doing new and innovative things is great and fun, until it is in direct conflict with fan desires and causes them to leave. I've only ever asked 1 thing of Dr. Who...do not randomly change cannon to fit the writers desires to do 'fun'. A good writer can make their story work within the confines of world rules. It ruins immersion and shows a severe lack of respect for the art, the fans, and the stories
