It's criminal how Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance isn't here. Persona is an easy peak but stop sleeping on its mother, the mainline. Undertale was inspired by SMT too so... I wouldn't mention Undertale or Hades, since these aren't exactly rpgs. And put SMT VV as deserved.

Good top. The best storydriven games are Radiant Historia, Persona 4 Golden, Shin Megami Tensei IV and I would say Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey too. But most importantly, Digital Devil Saga duology. SMT has very interesting stories since the very first one. But yeah, we almost can't play I legally in the west.

Can't agree that much. EarthBound in place of Mother 1? Xenoblade in place of Xenogears and Xenosaga? Ok ok you're talking about "influence" in that case, you put Persona 3 and Pokémon Red/Green but not Shin Megami Tensei? Digital Devil Story Megami Tensei? Any SMT? The beginning of the "enemies can be allies now" doesn't deserve to be here?

I expected some Shin megami tensei or at least Persona 3 here to be honest. There's no other jrpg series with a darker fantasy.

Drakengard/NieR are just a closed second place.
