Look, I see a lot of people saying Boruto could surpass Naruto, and honestly… that’s just not realistic if you actually pay attention to the manga. Let me break it down:
1. Experience Matters More Than Power
Naruto didn’t just get strong by training—he survived wars, fought god-level enemies like Kaguya, Madara, and Obito, and even took down Pain, who literally destroyed the Hidden Leaf. Boruto? He’s clever, but he hasn’t faced anything close to that. Experience counts, and Naruto has it in spades.
2. Raw Power Gap is Huge
Naruto has Six Paths Sage Mode + Kurama’s chakra. That’s literally world-ending level power. Boruto hasn’t demonstrated anything near that. His Jougan and Karma are cool, but they’re nowhere close to Naruto’s full strength.
3. Battle Instincts
Naruto’s instincts are insane because of decades of fighting. He can read opponents, improvise, and react instantly in life-or-death situations. Boruto is still learning how to think like that. Being clever doesn’t replace that level of intuition.
4. Boruto Relies on Tricks
Scientific ninja tools, Karma, the Jougan—these are situational advantages. Naruto doesn’t need gimmicks; his power, skill, and experience are natural and overwhelming. Boruto might pull off surprises, but that’s temporary.
5. The Story Isn’t There Yet
Boruto is still a developing character. The story sets Naruto as the ultimate benchmark, and Boruto is meant to grow, explore his powers, and learn—not surpass his dad right now.
