This guide is wrong. The cottage will only fast travel you to the Forest, and you don't need to find the fast travel point first. You build the cottage to fast travel to the Forest, and you build other houses to fast travel to the other biomes. You would think the person writing this "guide" would have double checked their facts, but I guess that was too much work.
