The writer of this article has clearly not read the manga, as we manga readers know that the era of the strongest Hashira are from the current timeline not the Sengoku era. Gyomei, Sanemi, Giyu, Obanai/Muichiro, Tengen, Rengoku, Mitsuri, and Kocho are the strongest.

The list is as follows:

1. Gyomei

2. Sanemi/Giyu interchangeable

3. Giyu/Sanemi interchangeable

4. Obanai/Muichiro interchangeable
