World of Warcraft Guilds Can't Get Lost Items Back
The impression I get is that they aren't really trying very hard to restore items. I have 2 guilds affected by this, only myself & my kid in them. It's been several weeks, and so far one guild has had the following mailed back:
5 stacks of Weighted Jack-o'-Lantern
2 stacks of Fluorescent Fluid
1 stack of Giant Dinosaur Bones
This bank has 7 tabs, at least 80% gone, old & hard to get items, recipes/patterns/schematics, enchant scrolls, gear, mats... Gone, and only those 8 stacks of things returned.
My main guild bank... Nothing returned. At all. All banks, the "Log" hasn't shown any activity in or out in at least 7 months, despite knowing I've deposited & removed things in that time. Even the money log hasn't shown activity in 7 months, despite me using the guild repair option for repairs all the time. There are items listed as being deposited, that are now gone, so just comparing what info IS there, they haven't restored those items. That shows a total lack of effort, as far as I'm concerned. And with the lack of logged activity over the past 7 months, seems like something in there has been broken for longer than they're acknowledging, and is still broken.
World of Warcraft Banks Are Having Problems in The War Within Expansion
"There has been a mixed response from players."... This implies that someone, anyone, was pleased & satisfied with the response & outcome. I highly doubt the accuracy of that statement. Unless you mean the mixed responses ranged from irritated & disappointed, to raging pissed off, and a variety of anger in between. To have to wait about 5 weeks for any kind of response, then find a post saying some stuff is gone for good, is unacceptable. Like many, I've been playing WoW for nearly 2 decades, and there was a variety of things from that entire time stored in personal guild banks, most of which went "missing" due to a screw up by Blizzard... And they're just shrugging it off?!?! I've gotten a few items mailed to me for 1 guild, but that's it. You can't expect us to believe Blizzard doesn't backup their data, and has no record of what went missing. Far more likely that they DO have that data, but don't want to take the time to do the work of restoring things. Well FTS!! They need to do right by those of us who've kept them in business all these years.
