The pieces all seem to be in place for the D-X entrance, and I'm a little surprised we didn't get it with the September DLC. Universe is definitely better now that promos are back, but there's a lot to improve on there.

Very nice to see Blue Prince getting the recognition it deserves. Had it not come out during the same year as Expedition 33, I would have been excited to see how many Indie Game of the Year wards it racked up.

That's another thought that's crossed my mind more than once. I guess what they're going for is a system that allows someone to do both at the same time depending on how they're feeling in the moment, which is kind of a cool concept. The execution just feels a little weird.

I would, but that's the nature of games of this sort, and a lot of players are willing to spend Robux for the thrill of the steal. It's not my cup of tea, but the option was clearly placed there intentionally, and it's not my place to tell an independent developer that they made a game in the wrong genre.

After giving it more thought, maybe the best solution for everyone is to have some servers that are PvP. That way, those looking for a peaceful idle farming sim experience get what they want, and the players who enjoy raiding each other's stock have more of a challenge, with less easy pickins.

I'd been waiting for Blue Prince since the House Tour demo, and the additions since then have been amazing. Add in day-one releases for South of Midnight, Avowed, Atomfall, and more, and Game Pass is having its best year ever.

Great group of folks to work for. Dalton and Patrick really know their stuff, and I was lucky enough to get to hang with Joshua at a WWE 2K24 press event while I was working for another publication. Guy's a class act, even if we did clash over the best member of Alpha Academy.

Playing through the house tour was one of my favorite gaming moments of the year so far. There have been so many good games released in the past month or so, and I'm not through with any of them, but they're all getting shelved for a while when Blue Prince comes out.

The Exchange in Boardman? Love that place. Just picked up Tropico 5 - Penultimate Edition and KOTOR 2 there last week for $12. Also, thank you, Series X, for backwards compatibility.
