Anyone familiar with the acclaimed game director knows that Hideo Kojima likes to go big. He proved this recently with a 10-minute Death Stranding 2 trailer. Now, he's doing it again with an impressive set of bonuses for folks who preorder the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Collector's Edition.
The Death Stranding 2 Collector's Edition comes with lots of cool stuff, some practical and some digital, as well as 48-hour early access to the upcoming Kojima Productions sequel. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is scheduled to launch for the PlayStation 5 on June 26, 2025. However, those who purchase the Collector's Edition will have access to the full title on June 24, 2025.

The Collector's Edition comes with a digital download of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. It also gives Collector's Edition owners an early machine gun unlock, a Quokka Patch, a Chiral Feline Patch, and Why Me? Patch. There are other bonuses for preordering the Collector's Edition as well, including a Quokka Hologram, Battle Skeleton, Boost Skeleton, and Bokka Skeleton.
The best things that come with the Death Stranding 2 Collector's Edition are all the awesome physical accessories stuffed within its gorgeous box. The box, which itself makes for a spectacular display, features the game's iconic (and creepy) handprint logo with streaking white paint trickling down. Art cards of the title's various cast members come as a cool collectible. And there's a letter from Hideo Kojima within the package that fans of the legendary game director are sure to hold onto as a keepsake.

Inside the Death Stranding 2 Collector's Edition is also a 3-inch Dollman figurine. The character is one of the oddest in an already odd cast of characters, but we may have figured out what Dollman's deal is earlier this month. Finally, the real highlight of the Collector's Edition is the awesome 15-inch Magellan Man Statue. Last month, Kojima tweeted about how he went out of his way to visit the factory where these statues were being manufactured. He cited the Magellan Man as "a product of KJP’s spirit and soul". Kojima is clearly proud of it, and it's easy to see why.
The Death Stranding 2: On the Beach release date is now locked in for June 26, 2025. But, again, if you order the Death Stranding 2 Collector's Edition, you'll be able to jump into the game two days earlier on June 24. It's unclear how many boxes Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima Productions intend to ship, so preorder yours today to ensure you aren't left out.
