Powerful Potential Research tasks in Pokemon GO will be available to players starting today, March 5, at 10 AM local time and will go away on March 10, at 8 PM local time. The tasks are part of the new Might and Mastery season of Pokemon GO (running until June 3), which introduces the legendary Fighting-type Pokemon, Kubfu ( a Pokemon that debuted in Pokemon Sword and Shield's The Isle of Armor DLC).

Here's What You Get

There's only one step for the Timed Research and four tasks to complete. Here are the rewards for each one and the rewards for the entire Step:

Hatch 5 Eggs (x10 Kubfu Candy)
Win 3 Raids (3000 XP)
Complete 5 Field Research Tasks (3000 XP)
Power Up Pokemon 5 Times (x10 Pinap Berries)

Once the four steps are done, you'll earn an encounter with Charcadet, 1500 Stardust, and an Egg Incubator.

You'll also get a 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance bonus when eggs are in an Incubator **until March 10, 8 PM local time.

Powerful Potential Field Research Tasks and Rewards - Pokemon GO

There are also some Field Research Tasks for Powerful Potential, which include the following (mind you, these tasks are unlocked as you spin PokeStops).

Earn a Candy Exploring With Your Buddy
- 1000 Stardust
Explore 2km
- Possible Rewards: Gothita, Solosis, and Sinistea
Hatch an Egg
- Possible Rewards: Gothita (can be shiny), Solosis (can be shiny), or Sinistea.
Win 2 Raids
- Possible Rewards: Alolan Raichu (can be shiny), Hisuian Typohlosion (can be shiny), or Sableye (can be shiny).

If you've yet to get Kubfu, make sure to complete the first step of the Might and Mastery Special Research. An encounter with Dynamax Kubfu is the reward (plus 891 XP). You'll continue to earn more Kubfu Candy as you progress through the research.

It's worth noting that Kubfu does not have a shiny variant in Pokemon GO just yet. Also, you cannot trade or transfer Kubfu.
