The Zoroark drop event doesn’t introduce new cards, but gives players the ability to obtain some of the Secluded Springs cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket. There are two new cards: Tropius and Poliwag. These cards have the same HP but different attacks. On the other hand, Zorua, Zoroark, and Milotic are the same cards with different artwork.

Grass

Buzzwole EX is still one of the strongest Pokemon TCGP Grass decks. The idea here is to build Buzzwole EX from the bench while using Pheromosa and Kartana to put a mild early-game pressure on the opponent. Since the deck only has Ultra Beast Pokemons, after Buzzwole EX is ready, use Celesteela’s ability to switch it to the active spot, and it will start one-shotting every Dark Pokemon in the opposite active spot.

This Grass deck is hard-carried by its supportive cards like Leaf Cape, Erika, and most importantly, Lusamine. Lusamine plays a major role when the deck is losing flow and Buzzwole EX is building slowly.

Energy

Grass

While Meowscarada’s decks are mostly effective against EX decks, it’s still useful against Zoroark since it’s aggressive in the early stages of the game. Not to mention, during Zoroark’s drop event, the advanced and expert stages use Darkrai EX in PTCGP, which increases the effectiveness of Meowscarada in the deck. In fact, Meowscarada can one-shot Darkrai, which is perfect to counter Zoroark’s decks.

Players can use the Sprigatito cards to search for other Pokemons, leaving mostly Trainer cards left in the deck. After that, use Meowscarada for early attacks to stop the building of Darkrai EX or Zoroark. Decidueye EX is also effective at targeting the backlines, especially if a hurt Darkrai or Zoroark escaped to the bench. For more early-game aggressiveness, players can swap Decidueye EX with Tsareena and her support cards like Mallow.
