The Pokemon TCG Pocket minisets have come out between the release of the main expansions, introducing a smaller number of cards. The first miniset was Mythical Island, themed around Mythical Pokemon such as Celebi and Mew, which got ex cards. It dropped in December 2024 and introduced 86 new cards. Triumphant Light, the Pokemon TCG Pocket miniset focused on Arceus, was released in February of this year and added 96 new cards. The most recent release is Shiny Revelry, which came out in March and features 111 new cards, including the first shiny Pokemon. This time, a leak indicates that the next set will be dedicated to another well-known group of pocket monsters.

Centro Leaks has shared a new leak claiming that Ultra Beasts will be the theme of the next Pokemon TCG Pocket miniset. The leak also indicates that the miniset will be released on May 29, almost a month after the release of the Celestial Guardians expansion, which was added on April 30. Rumor Says That Pokemon TCG Pocket May Get an Ultra Beasts-Themed Miniset
Ultra Beasts are a group of 11 extradimensional pocket monsters introduced with the release of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. In the games, the player receives the task of finding all the Ultra Beasts seen in Alola with the help of Wicke from the Aether Foundation and Looker from the International Police. As well as appearing in the games and the Pokemon anime, players can find Ultra Beasts cards. The first ones were released in 2017 as part of the Crimson Invasion expansion and have special interactions with specific attacks, abilities, and Trainer cards.
