Summary
- A Pokemon TCG Pocket player hits Master Ball rank in record time, 48 hours.
- Ranked Matches added in March update offer rewards for high ranks.
A Pokemon TCG Pocket player has impressed the community by reaching the highest rank, Master Ball, in a record-breaking time. This is a big deal because many fans are still trying to get past the Poke Ball Rank, which is about twelve ranks below what this score-hunting Pokemon TCG Pocket player has attained.
Ranked Matches were added to the game on March 28, shortly after the release of Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Shining Revelry set. In this mode, players aim to accumulate points by winning matches against others, with the ultimate goal of achieving the highest rank possible in each season. Ranking up also rewards players with desirable items, with the most significant ones being Pack Hourglasses and Rank Emblems. The latter is awarded to a select group of players who remain in the Master Ball rank, allowing them to display it on their profile.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Fans Are Roasting a New Feature
Pokemon TCG Pocket fans criticize a new feature that was added in the March update, claiming it’s more of a downgrade than an improvement.
Twitter user Daddy0820 has claimed that they achieved the Master Ball rank on March 30, 2025, less than 48 hours after Pokemon TCG Pocket’s latest update introduced Ranked Matches. According to their post, they accumulated 1,451 points, which requires over 100 wins. This doesn’t seem to be Daddy0820’s first Pokemon achievement, as their Twitter bio mentions several other related feats. Regardless, TCG Pocket fans find this new accomplishment impressive, believing it requires dedication and skill.
TCG Pocket’s First Master Ball Rank Was Achieved with a Darkrai ex Deck
Fans have asked Daddy0820 about the deck they used in Ranked Mode, and they revealed it was a standard Darkrai ex and Magnezone setup. Veteran players likely remember this lineup as the second-best meta deck during the Space-Time Smackdown era, though it faded with the release of the Triumphant Light and Shining Revelry mini-sets. However, Daddy0820 has shown that the Darkrai ex and Magnezone combination is still a solid choice for those aiming to compete in TCG Pocket’s PvP arenas.
While Daddy0820 and other top players have benefited from TCG Pocket’s lucrative Ranked PvP rewards, they aren’t done yet. To stay at the top, they’ll need to keep accumulating points, as only the players with the highest score by the end of each season will earn the Master Ball Emblem. It’s also worth noting that there’s no way to confirm if Daddy0820 was actually the fastest player to reach the Master Ball rank. However, based on the timing of their tweet, it’s safe to assume they were among the first few to achieve this feat.
