The Isle of Armor DLC went live for Pokemon Sword and Shield on June 17, bringing with it a lot of new content for players to explore. Along with the new area, the expansion is also introducing more Pokemon that were previously unavailable to the Galar region.
Fans have been waiting for the Pokemon Sword and Shield games to expand on the obtainable Pokemon that trainers can catch as they explore the game. Since the base game did not include some Pokemon from previous generations, players have been looking forward to having some of their favorite Pokemon on the Nintendo Switch. Not only are older Pokemon joining Sword and Shield, but never-before-seen Pokemon will also be coming into play with the Isle of Armor DLC.
Isle of Armor — New Pokemon
Isle of Armor is adding new Pokemon to Sword and Shield that aren't from any previous generations. In the Master Dojo, trainers can find the new legendary Pokemon Kubfu. When players scale either of the Towers of Two Fists, they can see Kubfu evolve into one of the two forms that Urshifu can take.

Isle of Armor — Older Pokemon
While the new generation eight Pokemon are exciting, fans have been waiting to see a lot of their favorite Pokemon from older generations appear in Sword and Shield. With over 100 Pokemon from previous games newly available thanks to the Isle of Armor DLC, players will be able to get old classics like Alakazam while evolving Rockruff into all its different Lyconroc forms.
