The Pokemon community remains extremely dedicated to the long-running franchise, with designs like this showing exactly why that remains the case.

Since the Pokemon franchise exploded in popularity in the late 1990s, fans have shared their love for the series in various ways. There are tons of Pokemon fan art pieces online, and with it remaining one of the most popular franchises in the world, it can take something really unique to stand out from the crowd. Occasionally, something special does come along to wow the community, like the Pokemon fan art that combined Mew with an Alien Xenomorph. Pokemon is showing no sign of a decline in popularity, meaning gamers can expect to see these types of fan creations for years to come.

Redditor MelodicWeb2161 shared their Pokemon sneaker concepts with the community online, and they're extremely impressive. Each uses the Nike Air Force 1 High sneaker as a base, recolored based on the various Pokemon chosen. Importantly, the concepts don't visually show the Pokemon; instead, they manage to capture their essence through color and patterns. Several iconic designs are depicted, including Dustox, Alakazam, and Azumarill, but there are also some concepts for legendary Pokemon like Dialga, Palkia, Groudon, and Kyogre, too.

Various Pokemon Sneaker Concepts

MelodicWeb2161 is no stranger to these types of sneaker concepts, having done many popular ones in the past. Back in August, this talented Pokemon fan shared their sneaker designs inspired by shiny Pokemon, and it's clearly something they put a lot of thought into. While all of these images are just concepts at the moment, when asked about the possibilities of turning them into real sneakers for sale, MelodicWeb2161 seemed receptive to the idea for any user who asked. Considering how many concepts they've created so far, it doesn't seem as though they will stop any time soon.

As of right now, there's no official news about when players can expect the next Generation of Pokemon games. Earlier this year, a rumor indicated that Pokemon Generation 10 could arrive in 2026, although this should be taken with a grain of salt, as anything can change between now and then. In 2026, the franchise will celebrate its 30th anniversary, so it would make sense that this would be a proposed year for Generation 10. It's unlikely that Nintendo, Game Freak, or the Pokemon Company would want such a massive anniversary to go without huge celebrations, but let's wait and see what happens.
