The interesting thing about Pokemon in Pokemon Sleep is that they help players complete their research. Each creature starts the day by gathering items and feeding the Sleeping Snorlax to maximize the Drowsy Power.
But as with any other workforce, Helper Pokemon lose interest in their job when certain conditions are not met. Unhappy Pokemon will stop gathering Berries and Ingredients. And to avoid facing this dilemma, Pokemon Sleep players must find creative ways to energize and make Pokemon happy. This guide will help explain how Pokemon Happiness works and how it can be improved.
Pokemon Happiness Level Explained
In Pokemon Sleep, Helper Happiness is a stamina bar that indicates how energetic a Pokemon is. Unlike the Friendship Point, Happiness Level isn’t determined by the Biscuits a Pokemon eats; it’s tied to how much sleep it gets. Pokemon Happiness is shown with emojis, ranging from a smiley face to a sad one. A high level of Happiness means that the Pokemon’s Energy is maxed out, and it will be able to gather Berries and Ingredients throughout the day.
How to Make Pokemon Happy
To energize Pokemon and make them happy, players will either need to take a nap, activate energy-restoring items, or recruit a Helper Pokemon with Energizing Cheer skill.
Cheering up Pokemon is the same as energizing them. Any in-game activity that boosts Helpers’ stamina will eventually elevate their spirits, changing their emoji to a smiling emoji.
Get at Least 8 Hours of Sleep Per Day
The Helper Team gets energized while tracking sleep. Pokemon rest as soon as the player falls asleep, increasing their stamina for the next workday. So a no-brainer way to keep them happy is to let them doze for a couple of hours a day.
Players who missed a night can later add their sleep data manually to get extra sleep and energy points. For that, they must go to the Main Menu and tap “Add Sleep Data.”
Have Pokemon with Energizing Cheer in the Team
Pokemon Sleep creatures come with various natures and skills. Of these, some passively energize the Helper Team. The Energizing Cheer, for example, restores 14 energy points to a random team member. By having an energy-restoring Pokemon like Ekans, Bellsprout, Geodude, or Cubone in the team, players can ensure that other members remain happy and work for longer hours.
Utilize Recovery Incenses
For 400 Sleep Points, players can get a Recovery Incense at the Regular Exchange Shop. When activated, this item doubles the Energy that Helpers recover after sleep research, accelerating their happiness regen.
Blow the Helper Whistle
With the Helper Whistle, the Pokemon team gathers three hours’ worth of food and ingredients instantly. Although it costs 800 Sleep Points, the Helper Whistle is ideal for restoring Energy and making Pokemon happy without actually sleeping.
How to Check Pokemon Happiness Level
Players can see how happy a Pokemon is by tapping the creature’s avatar. They can also head to the Pokemon Box or the Edit Team section to check their Helpers’ Energy Level.
Pokemon Sleep is available now for Android and iOS.
