Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC has added an all-new twist to postgame content by incorporating the special coaches feature. While it can be a bit tricky to understand it at first, it is a really handy mechanic for those looking to get their hands on a variety of exciting rewards.

The Indigo Disk adds a plethora of exciting stuff to the game, ranging from a slew of new and returning Pokemon to the extremely challenging Elite Four battles and the fun BBQ system. However, that's not all the game has to offer, as players can also get a chance to take part in some challenging battles after completing the main campaign as well, through the game's BB League Club Room. Here, players can unlock Special Coaches but must first complete certain objectives in order to do so.

What Are Special Coaches In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

Special Coaches can be unlocked via the BB League Club Room with the help of Cyrano, the Director of Blueberry Academy. Players need to speak with him after beating the main story, and he will allow them to unlock the first set of eight coaches, who happen to be the gym leaders of the Paldea region. For the remaining coaches, players will need to satisfy a few requirements, which can be found below.

How To Unlock All Special Coaches In The Indigo Disk DLC

Each of these Special Coaches has two sets of rewards, which is a regular reward that players get after defeating them or the Pokemon trade reward. For the Pokemon reward, players need to trade any Pokemon with them to get the Pokemon reward in return. These Pokemon also have a unique Partner Ribbon associated with them. Every time players invite a coach, they need to spend 200 BP, and they can trade after they have invited them thrice, so it will cost 600 BP in total.
