Among all the generations of Pokemon games, with the exclusion of the next mainline entry, Scarlet and Violet seem to have one of the brightest futures on the Nintendo Switch 2. This is especially true considering that it will be receiving an update that will make it better to play on the console, but as for what it will entail, there are a few ideas:

The update could ensure that both games will have a consistent frame rate regardless of the number of things it's rendering on screen, ensuring that people can enjoy playing without any stuttering.
It could be a visual update that utilizes the Nintendo Switch 2's ability to allow games to be played at 4K resolution, allowing both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to look graphically better compared to being on the original Switch.
It may allow both games to go beyond their 30 FPS gameplay and be playable at the 120 FPS the Nintendo Switch 2 allows, making for a lot of seamless playthroughs that look and feel nice.

While it's good to know that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are part of the list of Nintendo Switch games that will be getting an update for the next-generation console, the uncertainty as to what will be changed is what has fans excited and anxious.
