  • Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will face Feraligatr in a November Tera Raid.
  • The Seven-Star Tera Raids will be held from October 31 to November 3, with a second round on November 7 to 10.
  • Feraligatr will be a Dark-Tera Pokemon with the Sheer Force ability.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet announced that a new Seven-Star Tera Raid will be held in early November, pitting trainers against Feraligatr the Unrivaled. The upcoming Seven-Star Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will follow events that saw other Pokemon, like Gengar, take the spotlight instead.

Known as the Big Jaw Pokemon, Feraligatr first appeared in Pokemon Gold and Silve r as the Water-type starter of the Johto region. Feraligatr evolves from Tototile and Croconaw starting at level 30, making it the only Starter Pokemon capable of fully evolving at that level. With a blue body and strong jaws that can bite through most materials with little effort, Feraligatr's physical attack and defense statistics make it a reliable Water-type Pokemon that can stall out some foes. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Feraligatr can be obtained by catching a Totodile in the Terarium's Savanna Biome and leveling it up.

Rumor: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Could Still Have Some Big Things on the Way

It seems as though Pokemon Scarlet and Violet could still have some exciting updates on the horizon.

1

Although two Ghost Pokemon events are underway in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, trainers will soon have another challenging battle to take on. According to Serebii.net, the upcoming Seven-Star Tera Raid against Feraligatr the Unrivaled will begin on Thursday, October 31 at 8:00 PM Eastern, and conclude on Sunday, November 3 at 7:59 PM Eastern. Pokemon trainers who miss the first round of action will get another chance the following weekend, from November 7 to 10, to catch the Big Jaw Pokemon. Like its predecessors, Feraligatr the Unrivaled will grant the Mightiest Mark to Pokemon teams who defeat it. Although Feraligatr is usually a Water-type Pokemon, the upcoming Tera Raid boss will have the Dark-type as its Tera type.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Announce Feraligatr Tera Raids (November 2024)

  • Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will face Feraligatr in a November Tera Raid.
  • The Seven-Star Tera Raids will be held from October 31 to November 3, with a second round on November 7 to 10.
  • Feraligatr the Unrivaled will be a Dark-Tera Pokemon with the Sheer Force ability.
  • As a Dark-type, Feraligatr will be weak against Bug, Fighting, and Fairy attacks.

Feraligatr the Unrivaled will have the hidden ability called Sheer Force to bolster some of its attacks. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Sheer Force boosts the potency of attacks like Crunch and Liquidation but also removes the chance of an attack's additional effects from happening. For example, Crunch would hit much harder with Sheer Force, but it would not lower the physical defense of its target. Along with Liquidation and Crunch, Feraligatr's other potential moves buffed by Sheer Force include Ice Punch, Ancient Power, and Metal Claw. Status moves such as Swords Dance, Curse, and Rain Dance may appear in Feraligatr's arsenal. Although Dark-type Pokemon are useful in competitive battles, Feraligatr the Unrivaled will be vulnerable to Fighting, Fairy, and Bug-type moves.

Depending on the moves Feraligatr the Unrivaled will have, strong Fairy-type Pokemon like Sylveon or Tinkaton could be useful in the battle to come. What strategies Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will form remains to be seen.
