Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will soon have new Seven-Star Tera Raid battles to prepare for, as Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon will be the games' latest challenges. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will have just over a week, starting on October 2, to battle and catch these version-exclusive Paradox Pokemon.

Roaring Moon in 'Pokemon Scarlet:Violet'-1

The upcoming battles against Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant will be the first Seven-Star Tera Raid battle events in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in nearly three months, when Kommo-O the Unrivaled took center stage throughout July 2025. Roaring Moon is the Past Paradox version of Salamence, while Iron Valiant is a futuristic mix of Gallade and Gardevoir. Roaring Moon is known for its high physical attack and speed statistics, while Iron Valiant boasts a balanced mix of physical and special attack stats. Iron Valiant will appear in Pokemon Violet Tera Raid dens, while Roaring Moon will remain exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet.

Seven-Star Tera Raids Are Coming Back To Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Following the conclusion of the Shiny Treasures of Ruin event, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will have two tough tests to face. As reported by Serebii.net, the Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant Seven-Star Tera Raid event begins on Thursday, October 2, at 8:00 PM Eastern, and ends on Sunday, October 12, at 7:59 PM Eastern. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will have just over a week to battle and catch Iron Valiant or Roaring Moon, depending on which version they are playing. Roaring Moon will have the Dragon-type as its Tera type, while Iron Valiant will be a Fairy-Tera type throughout the battle. Both Paradox Pokemon will grant the Mightiest Mark to trainers who defeat them while the event is active.

While Dragon and Fairy Pokemon have clear weaknesses, both Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant are likely to carry moves that can counter these shortcomings. For example, Roaring Moon's weakness to Fairy and Ice attacks can be mitigated with moves like Iron Head and Earthquake. Given that both Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon are viable Paradox Pokemon in competitive battles, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will have to adapt to any surprises that the Seven-Star Tera Raid bosses throw at them.

Additionally, Five-Star Tera Raids featuring several version-exclusive Paradox Pokemon, such as Great Tusk and Iron Treads, will run simultaneously as the Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon battle events. Between the controversial Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon distribution event and the return of Paradox Tera Raids, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will have a busy October ahead.
