A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player shared an unusual situation where they would always encounter a Great Tusk upon entering buildings. This seems to be one of the many bugs in the games, which could sometimes bring a bit of hilarity to players' experience.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are among the top-selling games despite the many complaints about their performance and graphics. Two weeks after their release, Nintendo released an update, officially dubbed Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Version 1.1.0, to hopefully fix these issues. However, players still seem undecided on whether the patch did anything to improve the games.

Apart from performance issues, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been notorious for having bugs that could either ruin or add some fun to one's gameplay. For Reddit user Ruffino_12, they keep seeing a Great Tusk whenever they would enter a building. Anyone who's played the games knows just how imposing this Pokemon is considering that it's one of five Titans. True enough, in Ruffino_12's short video, the massive Great Tusk could be seen standing right smack in the middle of a sandwich shop. It was even blocking their character and a portion of the cashier counter.

The encounter prompted some funny reactions from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players. Many of them said that the Great Tusk simply wanted to order sandwiches, while another joked that it was guarding the shop from Paldean criminals. Other players also shared that this happened to them too in other locations, like the lab, classrooms, and the caves. But instead of a Great Tusk, they would see other Pokemon like Psyduck, Raichu, or Scovillain randomly pop up. Fortunately, players could fix this glitch by simply relaunching their game.

The bug seems to be common for people who have specific Pokemon in their party. Some think that the games would randomly spawn the first unit that's listed in their party. If not a Pokemon, it would be their corresponding Pokeball. One surmised that the Pokeballs were supposed to be placeholders, but Game Freak allegedly failed to keep them hidden beneath the map. Nonetheless, Ruffino_12's Great Tusk bug doesn't seem to be disrupting their game's performance that much based on their video, other than blocking their line of sight. At least they're not accidentally falling off Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's map.

Nearly a month into its release, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet might still need to address some bugs, especially the game-breaking ones. Many players seem to be enjoying the games despite the issues though, which should encourage the developers to make them the best they could be.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now on Switch.
